A new (old) direction
This will be an occasional blog, for now, where I intend to discuss my return to an old love, weaving. First, I have to figure out again how to drive Blogger. In the meantime, let's discuss the Gentle Art of Weaving (appropriate artwork to follow, once I get it finished, scanned, and beat Blogger into submission over placement, etc.): you Warp the loom, Sley the reed, Throw the shuttle, and Beat. Yes, very gentle. But addictive.
Last summer, we converted the unused one-car garage into a studio space:
And my husband (aka The Enabler) helped me fill it up:
At the moment, two floor looms, the vertical tapestry loom, a table loom and two inkle looms are warped and in the process of weaving. Life is good.
